Nelson County Dispatch is a multi-agency entity since 2007, we receive and process emergency communications for over 50,000 residents in the 424 square miles of Nelson County. Our services cover areas from Bloomfield, Cox's Creek, Chaplin, Fairfield, and Bardstown; to Boston, New Hope, New Haven, Balltown, Howardstown, Culvertown, and all points in between, as well neighboring counties.

Our Central Dispatch Center located off E Stephen Foster Ave in Bardstown is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In  2007, our center became operational for all Nelson County emergency services. The new facility has opened us up to an additional 1,500 sq. ft. for multi-agency operations. In addition, we have added state of the art technological upgrades within our facility. Over the years we have regularly upgraded our computer systems for CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch), as well as computer based phone and radio system. This allows us to maintain data, and operate with accuracy and efficiency, thus allowing for a reliable, expedited response to emergencies within our community.
